What is Installation?
Installation art is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that are often site-specific and designed to transform the perception of a space. Art that is created, constructed, or installed on the site where it is exhibited, often incorporating materials or physical features on the site but can often take up to an entire room or gallery space. Some installations are designed simply to be walked around contemplated, or are so fragile that they can only be viewed from a doorway, or one end of a room.
