Film Grain

This is the grain effect that I did on photoshop to get the 'film grain' look without using a film camera.  To get this effect I uploaded a photo into photoshop and went to 'adjustments' and change my colour picture into black and white and then added another layer. I then clicked on 'fill' and where it says 'contents' I change it to '50% grey' and once that I did that I went to 'blending modes' and click on 'overlay'. I then went to 'filter' then clicked on 'add noise' and changed the amount of the noise that I wanted and also ticked the box which is called 'monochromatic' which turns the grain from a grey to a black. Lastly, I just changed the 'opacity'  to where I wanted it.
